Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, has revealed that the late Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, suggested he use hallucinogenic drugs to help make Microsoft products more interesting. Gates said: “Steve Jobs once said that he wished I’d take acid because then maybe I would have had more taste in my design of my products.” In reply to Jobs’ jibe, Gates said that taking recreational drugs dulled his mind. Fortune suggests that the duo had something of a love-hate relationship while Jobs was alive, but notes that Gates clearly admired the talents of his counterpart. Gates said: “[Jobs] wouldn’t know what a line of code meant, and his ability to think about design and marketing and things like that… I envy those skills. I’m not in his league.”
